No. To be positioned you must have your mobile device switched on - and - you must have visibility set to "visible" for the service in question. No, not in the default case. Before all direct positioning Visibilly substitutes the end-users identity to a session specific identifier that can not be traced. If an end-user has subscribed to a service, however, it can be possible for the service to see this. Such services always require that the end-user have first given a clear consent to this by answering an invitation to the service. This question is difficult to answer. It can be everything from 50-100m up to 3km depending on the geographical area, mobile operator and positioning technology. |
